We believe in the betterment of the “American Bully” breed, and in our efforts to promote our bullies; a new section in BullyPedia titled “Health” will now be available & focused solely on the wellness, nutrition and care of our great breed. We’ve teamed up with Dr. Cory Key, DVM of Southwind Animal Hospital to bring an indispensable resource in BullyPedia. Ongoing discussions, weekly threads, topics, updates can be posed by our members & answered by our in house “expert”. Our hope is to educate and instill knowledge to our members and future owners and breeders alike. “Making Bully History One Pedigree At A Time”

Blue Steel Collar- One of my early pieces, double layered leather with torched stainless steel plate in the middle creating a blue tarnish to the metal- thus the name ‘blue steel’. Hand cut stainless steel squares centered in the leather square cut out giving an industrial feel. Check this piece out and many more on my e-commerce site.
Customized Razorback collar in a blue, and with round studs instead of spikes. Brushed stainless steel hardware with padded pigskin for comfort.

Is bad breath in dogs just natural?
No. While it is true that bad breath can indicate a more serious illness, bad breath in pets is most often caused by bacteria. Plaque and tartar, if not removed from the teeth, increase the chance of gum infection. Periodontal disease is the cause of 95% of all “bad breath” in dogs.
BullyPedia Health: Steroid Poisoning?
By Corry Key, DVM © 2012
Most dog owners have given a steroid at some point in their dogs’ lives; for itching, for certain infections or inflammatory diseases, etc. But what if the body itself were to produce TOO much steroid, all on its own? Would that be a bad thing? In most instances, yes.The adrenal gland, a tiny structure that sits next to the kidney, is responsible for making the natural steroid hormone, called cortisol, that circulates throughout the body.
